# SpaceO

SpaceO gives AI agents headless virtual displays on a Mac so they can operate apps while you keep using your computer. It is a free, MIT-licensed Swift application with a Viewer, CLI, and MCP server, created by Parth Jadhav.

## Requirements and capabilities

- Apple Silicon with macOS 14 or later; runtime compatibility depends on the macOS build.
- Supports native macOS apps and Chromium browsers.
- Agents can create sessions, inspect Accessibility elements, capture screenshots, click, type, scroll, and verify action results.
- Sessions can use dedicated displays or share a display in separate tiles.
- Viewer lets you monitor sessions, pause an agent, and take control.
- Connects to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Claude Desktop as MCP clients.

Managed Electron apps are refused because they can take focus. SpaceO reports observed isolation failures; apps can still activate themselves. Agent apps retain your macOS user's access to files, credentials, and network: virtual displays are not a security sandbox.
