1. Introduction & Acceptance

KidSteps is developed and maintained by Parth Jadhav, an independent developer. By downloading, installing, or using KidSteps, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

KidSteps is a child development tracking app for iOS. It allows you to:

  • Track developmental milestones across six domains: Cognitive, Language, Motor, Social-Emotional, Academic, and Life Skills
  • Create child profiles with age-appropriate milestone timelines
  • Document milestones with notes and photos
  • View progress insights and domain-level tracking
  • Sync data across devices via iCloud

3. User Accounts

KidSteps works fully without an account. All features are available in local-only mode. No account creation is required.

4. Subscriptions & Pricing

KidSteps offers the following subscription plans:

  • Monthly: $6.99/month (3-day free trial)
  • Annual: $49.99/year (3-day free trial, save 40%)

Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Auto-renewal applies unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Use of the App Store is subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

5. Content & Data

All content within KidSteps — child profiles, milestone entries, notes, and photos — is created by you. You retain full ownership of all content you create. The developer does not access, view, or claim ownership of any user content.

6. Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device. No data is stored on developer-owned servers. Optional iCloud sync stores data in your private CloudKit database managed by Apple.

7. Not Medical Advice

KidSteps provides general developmental information based on published guidelines from the CDC, AAP, and WHO. It is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace professional medical advice. Always consult your pediatrician or healthcare provider with concerns about your child's development.

8. Privacy

KidSteps does not collect or track any user data. The app is fully COPPA compliant. For full details, see the Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The KidSteps app, including its design, branding, milestone database, and code, are the intellectual property of Parth Jadhav. You may not reverse-engineer, copy, modify, or redistribute the app without prior written consent.

10. Disclaimers

KidSteps is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The developer is not responsible for data loss. Developmental milestones are general guidelines and may not apply to every child.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States.
